Vivien is an empathetic and dedicated professional whose extensive experience in learning support within international schools has deeply informed her commitment to ensuring that individuals feel truly heard, understood, and supported. While her background centers on supporting students with diverse needs, this experience translates into a strong ability to listen actively and respond compassionately to people of all ages.

Having lived and worked in the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, Vivien brings a rich understanding of multiple cultures, international environments, and the unique challenges faced by expatriate families, which enhances her culturally sensitive and inclusive approach to emotional wellbeing and personal support. Her ongoing volunteer work with Lifeline Shanghai, providing confidential emotional support to individuals in crisis, has further motivated and inspired her to pursue counselling as a way to give back to the community.

Vivien’s counselling approach is client-focused, compassionate, and collaborative, creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where individuals feel safe to explore their challenges and reconnect with their inner strengths. She integrates a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), combining cognitive and experiential techniques to foster meaningful and lasting personal growth. Her goal is to help clients build resilience, gain deeper self-awareness, and achieve sustainable positive change in their lives.
